These glasses block blue light emitted by electronic screens such as laptops and phones, to reduce eye strain and help you sleep better.

Since the sun emits blue light, your body is naturally tuned to be awake when you see blue light. Electronic screens also emit blue light, so if you look at screens at night, studies show that your body is confused by this and tries to stay awake. Poor sleep affects every part of your body, and can impact your heart, cognitive skills, and immune system.

The keyhole design is a classic shape, named after the keyhole-shaped gap between the bridge and nosepads.

While most eyewear frames are made of plastic and have a seam all around the edges from the injection mold, our frames are made from blocks of cellulose acetate or horn that are carved into their final shape. This process gives the frames greater flexibility, durability, and depth of color.

Spring hinges allow the arms to flex and conform to your head, for greater comfort.

Mazzucchelli CR-39 lenses. Frames suitable for prescription lenses.

The Kent Wang Sunglasses Keyhole are the most comfortable round sunglasses we tested, with a lightweight but solid build and replaceable lenses… We’ve been recommending Kent Wang’s Sunglasses Keyhole since late 2017—and I’ve been wearing my pair for as long—and we haven’t had any issues with them…

We sampled the sunglasses in black and tortoiseshell acetate; the Keyholes come in various shades of acetate or horn (although horn costs $95 more). Both versions are distinct and striking. Acetate, in particular, does a great job of displaying vibrant colors. The glasses garnered compliments from friends and acquaintances, as well as questions about where we had gotten them. The frame has no external branding, but it does have a small, gold-foil Kent Wang logo on the inside of the left arm; it’s tasteful and attractive, and it’s impossible to see while the sunglasses are on your face.

The Kent Wang Keyholes fit all of our panelists comfortably, and they were the ones I kept reaching for, even after testing finished. They’re also solidly constructed, with flexible spring hinges that provide a satisfying click when you fold and unfold the arms. The spring hinges on the Keyhole sunglasses allow a wider range of movement in the arms
