Cordovan, an equine leather produced by the Horween tannery in Chicago, is the ideal material for watch straps due to its toughness and resistance to moisture.
While most leather watch straps are made of two layers of leather, lining, and edge stitching, cordovan is thick and durable enough to be made into a strap with just a single layer of leather, without the need for lining or stitching. This single piece design is the perfect complement to the minimal aesthetic of our Bauhaus watch.
Straps are handmade to order, and take about two weeks. As it is a handmade item, there will be small imperfections, unlike machine-made straps.
