A hybrid between a casual rugby and a woven shirt, this shirt is appropriate on its own, layered with a sweater, or even a sportcoat.
Slim fit. Premium, soft cotton pique. Mother of pearl buttons.
The collar is constructed like a woven shirt with a collarband and two layers of self fabric, instead of the typical single layer of ribbed fabric that loses its shape quickly. This allows the collar to naturally lay open elegantly. It is also a spread collar for a subtle, rakish look.
Unlike most rugbys, these feature a button cuff, another characteristic drawn from woven shirts.

The Slim fit was our only fit up until 2025, when we introduced Slim Tall and American fits. If you purchased a shirt before 2025, then it was the Slim fit.
The Slim fit is very slim, slightly slimmer than H&M and Zara, much slimmer than Polo Custom Fit, Brooks Brothers Slim Fit, Banana Republic, J. Crew and nearly all other US retail brands. No vanity sizing, so select one size larger than what you usually wear in most American brands.

The American fit is similar to American brands like Ralph Lauren Polo Classic Fit. Order the same size that you would buy in Ralph Lauren.
It is roughly one size larger than our Slim fit, but with a wider chest and waist. For example, if you tried our Slim L but just need a slightly wider chest and waist, then try the American M.

As with all shirts, machine wash cold on the gentle cycle and hang dry only. Heated drying will shorten the life of your shirt, as will the chemicals used in dry cleaning. Also avoid bleach, fabric softener, and starch. It's best to wash your shirts yourself, but any good cleaner, given these instructions, will suffice.
Over a few washes, if hang dried, shrinkage will be almost imperceptible. The waist will shrink about 0.25", the shirt length and sleeve length about 0.5". If machine dried, shrinkage may be double those amounts. We cannot accept returns on washed or worn garments.
Spare buttons are available at no charge.
We accept returns on unused items within 60 days of the date the item was delivered. Items must be in resellable condition. Please contact us first.
Items may be tried on but we cannot accept returns on items that have been worn longer than that. Washed items cannot be returned.
